Yoga For Strength

Yoga for Strength combines pilates, strength training and yoga in a fun creative way with the goal of building lasting core support, increased flexibility and decreased pain. This class addresses common imbalances that lead to back pain, weakness, shoulder tightness, and lack of mobility and function. We target the entire body through movement and the use of light hand weights, bands, and props. We place strong emphasis on effective breathing techniques that support core function, strength and movement. Expect to work hard, feel stronger, more relaxed and calmer. Modifications will always be offered and all movements can be done without weights. This class is open to anyone and we welcome beginner students. Pre-registration is required for all in studio classes. Online booking window closes 30 minutes before class. Late cancelation window is 60 minutes before class.

4 Week RYC™ Foundations Course Virtual with Maggie Stonecash

Our Foundations 4 week educational course is for anyone interested in learning about creating a functional body. It is for someone brand new ready to get started. This course brings awareness about the entire body and teaches concepts you will need to retrain your body to become more functional. You will learn all about the core as a system, alignment, breath and strategies for optimal movements. The course addresses all the major areas that need to be strengthened and released in order to heal from dysfunctional core and pelvic floor issues. It is fantastic as a stand alone course that may compliment any current exercises or as a prerequisite to our RYC Movement Series. Each class focuses on a different topic with mostly lecture and some minimal movements. Additional email support and handout resources are provided to support each weeks’ topic in between classes. This course is very beginner friendly and appropriate for anyone with limited mobility or injuries. $125. Members receive 10% off.

Next Course meets in June on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm. Course meets 6/1, 6/15, 6/22 & 6/29

Once the 4 week course is completed, participants are encouraged to attend our 4 week RYC™ Movement Course.

For this virtual course, you will receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, check your junk or spam folder and mark as safe. Roughly one hour before your class is scheduled to begin, you will receive another email from us with the live stream link for your class.

IPSTUDIO uses Zoom to live stream each class. We recommend that you have the latest version of Zoom installed. Once your instructor begins class, you will enter and automatically be muted and your video will be off. Please feel free to un-mute yourself and enable your video if you’d like. We love seeing our students practicing along with us, but it is not necessary. Please mute yourself when class begins so that the instructors audio is optimized.

We recommend the following props for RYC class one (Michele will let you know what you need for the remaining classes):
– 2 yoga blocks or books
– thick blanket or towel
– sturdy chair (metal folder chair is best)

1. Arrive wearing a mask and either wash your hands or use our hand sanitizer before entering the studio.

2. Take your shoes off and leave them in hallway.

3. Bring in all personal items including your mat and props into the studio and place them on your numbered space.

4. You will be checked in by either the teacher or support staff. They will tell you where your numbered spot is. Once you’re on your spot enjoy class!

5. After class, please wait for instructions from the teacher on the order to exit.

This course will give you lots of practice with these new skills with feedback from the teacher. The 4 weeks may be repeated over and over again. $75. Members receive 10% off.
Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm in June (class meets 6/2, 6/16, 6/23 & 6/30)

*must have taken RYC foundations (formerly RYC level 1).
