Restore Your Core

The RYC™ method is a whole-body approach to training your core and pelvic floor muscles to be more functional, responsive, and supportive of your body as a whole. It teaches you to move better, exercise more efficiently, and to unlock the compensation patterns that our bodies inevitably fall into during daily routines. RYC™ works to replace those compensation patterns with new strategies that help us to be stronger, more supported, and more mobile. Many of the moves come from yoga and pilates and emphasize breathing strategies and alignment. This program has proved to be incredibly effective in helping women to regain strength in their bodies after pregnancy and childbirth (both recently postpartum and years past postpartum). This is not to say that RYC™ is only for postpartum women. The program’s benefits are wide-reaching for women and men in all stages of life who want to learn about their bodies and move better. For men, it’s shown incredibly helpful for recovery from a prostatectomy.

RYC™ helps to alleviate symptoms from pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, lower back pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction, urinary urgency and incontinence and other core and pelvic floor problems. All RYC™ classes are taught by certified Restore Your Core Teachers™ Michele Landis, ERYT 500 and Maggie Stonecash RYT, MEd

Our Restore Your Core Program is broken down into two courses. For new students, we require you to take RYC Foundations first.
4 Week RYC™ Foundations Course

Our Foundations 4 week educational course is for anyone interested in learning about creating a functional body.  It is for someone brand new ready to get started.  This course brings awareness about the entire body and teaches concepts you will need to retrain your body to become more functional.  You will learn all about the core as a system, alignment, breath and strategies for optimal movements.  The course addresses all the major areas that need to be strengthened and released in order to heal from dysfunctional core and pelvic floor issues. It is fantastic as a stand alone course that may compliment any current exercises or as a prerequisite to our RYC Movement Series. Each class focuses on a different topic with mostly lecture and some minimal movements. Additional email support and handout resources are provided to support each weeks’ topic in between classes. This course is very beginner friendly and appropriate for anyone with limited mobility or injuries. $125.  Members receive 10% off.

Next Course meets in June

Once the 4 week course is completed, participants are encouraged to attend our 4 week RYC™ Movement Course.”

4 Week RYC™ Movement Course

Our very specific movement series builds upon the concepts learned in the Foundation Course and applies them through yoga and pilates. Discover a blend of standing, sitting and floor movements combined with your body’s own resistance to load your core in a safe way that builds lasting strength! End each class with a deep relaxation. This course will give you lots of practice with these new skills with feedback from the teacher.  The 4 weeks may be repeated over and over again.  $75. Members receive 10% off.

Private Sessions

Each of us have imbalances and patterns in our body. We have ways of moving and holding ourselves throughout the day that might not be ideal for good function. Working one on one with a professional trained to spot misalignments, can be transformative to uncovering these patterns that might be limiting us. A one-on-one assessment can be crucial to changing patterns we are stuck in that might be causing nagging pain or contributing to a lack of healing in our body. An individualized session will help take you to the next level in your journey of moving through exercise and daily activities with more awareness and ease.

To help you get the most out of your private session, we recommend that you send in videos and pictures taken ahead of time along with your goals and interests. The session will be tailored to help your specific body. You will leave the session with take home exercises and correctives to specifically address your needs.

Because the work is so specific, there may be a time in your healing process when you need to have your alignment assessed and receive more support.  Private sessions can be done at any point in your RYC journey. Cost $95 for one hour.
