Beginners

Whether you are new to yoga, have tried videos or books at home, taken a few classes, or haven’t practiced for a long time, we welcome you. Practicing yoga in a group setting gives you permission to relax, de-stress, and challenge yourself. At home it’s easy to be distracted by the busyness of everyday life. At Yoga at Simply Well, you will feel comfortable.

Some things to know:

  • You do not need a mat for your first class. We are happy to provide one for you.
  • You do not need to be able to touch your toes or sit crossed legged:
    we will show you modifications for any limitations you have. 
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first class to get familiar with the studio, talk to your instructor before hand, and fill out paperwork.  If you would like to save time, download and print our waiver form, fill it out and bring it with you to your first visit.

We recommend the following classes for new students:

  • Gentle Yoga
  • Restorative Yoga
  • Chair Yoga/Easy
