Refresh and rejuvenate with an hour of Gentle Yoga New Years morning! Asana, Pranayama and Guided Meditation will usher in a new year of positive self-care and mindful movement through Yoga. This class is open to all levels and great for someone brand new to yoga

The instructors of Yoga at Simply Well not only love yoga, but we also love animals! We know you do too, so why not bring these together! We are teaming up with the volunteers of Furry Friends Network to raise money for these beautiful animals.
 
We are raising money by doing 108 sun salutations!

In yoga the ritual of doing 108 sun salutations is known as a Mala. The number 108 is significant in Eastern philosophy and there are 108 prayer beads in a prayer mala necklace.

Align yourself with the brand new year and burn away what no longer serves you. This practice is about the intention as a collective group, so anyone can participate, and you don't have to complete all 108. You can go at your own pace and rest when you need to. Our teachers will be leading us in this wonderful practice.  You will enjoy a lengthy shavasana to bring this energy filled practice to a close. Come hydrated and bring extra water to drink during class.

In the beginning of Jaque’s spiritual awakening she was part of a group of women that journeyed to the Islands of Malta.  This pilgrimage led her and 23 other women to ‘remember' their Priestess within. Jaque participated in 3 different Mystery Schools across the country.  In the eve of the Waning Moon in Libra we shall explore the concept of your personal mystery, as Jaque Hanson shares her experiences of surrendering and embracing her mystery.  Jaque will explore the significance of Bee Medicine from the ancient Maltese traditions.  She will share a brief ceremony with her Beehive Mystery School graduates, and will facilitate a meditation with an Esoteric modality to bring harmony and equilibrium to you, with the balancing energies of Libra: What may you keep and what may you let go? Libra inspires us to embody fairness and inner-peace.

Are you or your home feeling “stuck”? Is there a space in your home that you have wanted to clean out and haven't been able to get started? Have you accumulated belongings that may no longer be serving your highest good? If so, workshop is for you!
 
Our belongings, just like our physical bodies and the world around us, possess an energetic charge. Areas of your home that you have trouble clearing, sorting, or organizing often have stuck energy that reflects a “stuckness” within. Home Energy Purification is a process for shifting and transforming your energetic and emotional relationship with your belongings using mindfulness, intuition, and energy tools.
 
In this fun, informative, and experiential workshop, you will learn the basics of the Home Energy Purification process (mindful centering, intention-setting, tuning in with intuition, and how to use a variety of tools to shift energy) and have a practice experience with your own belongings.
 
Workshop participants are encouraged to bring a small box with an assortment of "stuck" personal items from a junk drawer/forgotten closet/ignored area of the home. These 10-20 items should belong to the participant her/himself. Family members, friends, and roommates are encourage to attend this workshop together - anyone who shares living space can benefit from learning how to shift both internal and external energies!

Living and being with our bodies is a tall order. Sitting back and witnessing our experience takes time and practice. Today's body is hurried, overworked, under exercised, stressed and depleted. When exercise does occur, it is quick, vigorous and sweat producing. We each have an opportunity to develop a relationship with our body through movement, breath and meditation that is unique. This Gentle Yoga Teacher Training shows us another way to connect with ourselves, through the subtle and the quiet. We do this by learning to listen, slowing down and paying attention. Gentle yoga is a the bridge between moving slowly and staying still. This program will look at various ways to teach Gentle Yoga to a wide variety of populations. We will cover practices for more able-bodied students, chair practices and floor practices of exploration. Pranayama and meditation will also be discussed.  Earn 20 CEU's for Yoga Alliance.

Taking time out to breathe each day, calms the mind, soothes the nervous system and strengthens the cardiovascular system. In this workshop, you will learn to breathe in a more efficient and functional manner by exploring and engaging the muscles used to breathe. You will learn how just a few minutes a day of breath practice can bring a sense of ease to the mind and body. We will explore the Yogic practice of Pranayama by exploring various forms of breathing. Prana means life energy and Yama means to control or focus. Practicing Pranayama increases our sense of aliveness and connects us to the awareness of our soul. We will dive into learning how breath can be used as healing tool and how breath can be a foundation for building a meditation practice. This workshop is open to all levels. No previous Yoga or breath experience necessary.
