September kicks off with Labor Day, marking the end of a relaxed schedule for many, and is steeped with excitement for a new school year of learning and growth. While change throughout life is inevitable, one’s approach to navigating it is unique. One can choose to be overwhelmed with a multitude of details accompanying an upset to routine, or surrender to a bigger picture where everything is already in place. Anchoring in “Simplicity” clears a path for old expectations and stuck patterns to dissolve, and forges a fresh start. Letting go of complications begins within and requires awareness that one is quite capable of inviting flow and ease as the new norm. Simplicity is freedom self-declared to enjoy the fullness of living in the present.
Energy Circles are sacred, safe gatherings for those attending to access the Power/Wisdom that resides deep within each of us. Every participant has an opportunity to speak their Truth surrounding the monthly theme or whatever else wants to be shared from the Heart. The group dynamic of being witnessed and supported simultaneously, as well as impacted by others’ shares, allows for healing and revealing to be magnified exponentially. Once every person is complete with their turn, the group lies down collectively on the floor and begins to focus on the breath to purposefully move energy through the body. Accompanied by music, the modalities of sound and laughter are also encouraged to literally break up any stuck energy and allow it to release. Each one’s experience is as unique as the individual, and there is a unified container of Love and Light amplifying the process of surrender. The Circle completes the way it begins, by once again joining hands, acknowledging the ongoing connection of all life, and embodying the empowerment of synergistic expansion.
Please bring a water bottle and a light snack to share. Grounding with food afterwards is important.

Tween Yoga will incorporate yoga poses, breath, and relaxation while encouraging the individuality and creativity of each middle school aged student. Through discussion, mindful games, and concentration techniques deeper explanations of yoga concepts are explored in a supportive and fun atmosphere. Yoga helps to develop focus and self-control, while giving exercise to all systems of the body. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Minimum of 5 pre-registered students for the full series is required to run the program.
Pre-registration is required by Friday, September 7
Dates:  Sundays September 9, 16, 23, 30 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm

Cost: $40 for the full session, $12 for each individual session

Restorative yoga is a gentle inward form of yoga that invites participants to move towards greater balance, control and participation in their life. The participant’s body is placed in yoga postures that are supported with props. The mind is invited to slow down with the use of pranayama, visualization and mantra allowing the individual to turn inside. A restorative practice is a complement to any yoga practice or other form of exercise and perfect for almost any practitioner looking to experience a deeper state of relaxation and healing than Savasana or sleep. It is also a perfect practice for those recovering from injury or illness or anyone who experiences stress on a daily basis.

In this weekend restorative yoga training created from the Tantric Hatha Yoga Teachings, the work of Herbert Benson and Jon Kabat Zinn, participants will gain practical, hands-on experience and skills to work with a wide range of populations. The program will include posture practice, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra, visualization, and use of props to create a safe/comfortable/healing environment. Participants will leave the training confident in their ability to understand the philosophy and science behind restorative yoga as well as self-assured in their aptitude to lead their students through a complete restorative yoga practice.  Earn 20 CEUs with Yoga Alliance
